About the City

The name of the Bureij is attributed to Khirbet al-Bureij, mentioned in the Encyclopedia of Our Country Palestine, by Mustapha al-Dabbagh, located about 8 km west of Beersheba. Al-Bureij is located in the camps of the central region in the Gaza Strip. It is bordered to the east by the armistice line, to the west by Nuseirat camp, to the north by Wadi Gaza and to the south by the Maghazi refugee camp. It is bordered to the north by the Gaza Valley, which is the natural border on the northern side, followed by Gaza City, which is about 9 km from Gaza City.
