Awareness meeting on Solid Waste Management in Al-Fakhari Region

The Joint Services Council for solid waste management in the  Khan Younis, Rafah and the Middle Area governorates , organized an awareness meeting entitled "Solid Waste Management in Al-Fakhari Region" at Al-Fukhari Preparatory School, The meeting was attended by Dr. Sulaiman Al-Amour, Mayor of Al-Fakhari Municipality, in addition to directors and teachers from UNRWA's Al-Fakhari School and a number of members of the Parents' Council and neighborhood committees in the town.

This meeting comes within the awareness campaign in the field of solid waste implemented by Al-Fakhari Schools, which aims to contribute to raise the awareness of citizens in the field. The meeting was opened by Dr. Amour, stressing the need for concerted efforts to contribute to the cleaning of the town to avoid the accumulation of waste, which in turn may lead to environmental and health problems affecting the population.
