Guidance sessions to raise children's awareness of how to properly dispose of solid waste

The Public Awareness Unit conducted orientation sessions for children participating in the summer camp "Shuaa 27", organized by the "Shorouk and Amal (2)" Center for the Society of Culture and Free Thought in Khan Younis,The Public Awareness Team of the Council, in cooperation with the Department of Health and Environment of Khan Younis Municipality, implemented 3 counseling sessions for 98 children on Tuesday 9 July 2019. 

The workshop aims at introducing children to the journey of solid waste from the house to the landfill and raising their awareness. The correct behavior of household waste disposal and addressing the health and environmental damage that is reflected on the population through the misconduct practiced by the population to get rid of their waste. A number of these children visited the Khan Yunis garage to learn about the daily work done by the collection workers in the Council from Yup Keep the city clean.The  summer camp "Shuaa 27" aims to build a generation of children capable of leading the process of positive community change by organizing environmental initiatives and environmental campaigns under the rubric of clean living.
