Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Eng. Ibrahim Radwan, visited the new Al-Fukhari (Sofa) landfill 

Chairman of the JSC-KRM , Eng. Ala'a Al-Bata'a welcomes a delegation from the Ministry of Local Government headed by the Undersecretary Ibrahim Radwan, at the new Al-Fukhari landfill on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

The visiting delegation was welcomed by a number of mayors, members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the Council and the staff of the solid waste management project in the Gaza Strip, which is implemented through the MDLF.

Eng. Ala'a Al-Bata'a praised the efforts made to prepare the landfill to receive the waste of approximately 60% of the population of the Gaza Strip during the next few days. 

Also, the solid waste management team presented a presentation on the achievements of the project as well as the plan to close the Deir Al Balah landfill in a safe manner according to the Environmental and social criteria.

Eng. Ibrahim Radwan also praised the efforts that made by JSC-KRM and MDLF to implement the project in a professional manner.

He also called for the dissemination of the lessons learned from this project in the Gaza Strip and the North.
