Visiting municipal and joint council staff to the JSC-KRM facilities

The consortium of Ma'alem and E-Co Conserv companies conducted a field visit to the solid waste management facilities which are belong to the Joint Service Council for Solid Waste Management for Local Authorities in Khan Younis, Rafah and Middle Area Governorates, on the eighth day of the training program for municipal and joint council staff in solid waste management.

Participants in the training visited Khan Younis transfer station, medical waste treatment unit, Rafah transfer station and Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill.

The purpose of the visit is to increase the knowledge of Health and environment staff in Gaza municipalities, in how to establish and operate transfer stations and sanitary landfills, in accordance with the right environmental and social standards, and to exchange experiences between Solid Waste Management project crew and council's staff in dealing with those facilities.
