Spark Society for Innovation and Creativity visits to Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill 

On Saturday, January 12, 2019 the Council welcomed a group of innovative young people from the Spark Society for Innovation and Creativity in Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill.

The visitors were briefed and familiarized with the solid waste management project in the Gaza Strip, the procedures followed to manage sanitary landfills and the best way to dispose of wastes by dumping according to sound environmental and social standards.

At the end of the tour, the visitors discussed some important issues, which would contribute to increasing the involvement of the local community in protecting and preserving the environment by reducing solid waste and recycling.
