A group of youth centers in Khan Younis visit the Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill
On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill, the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area governorates welcomed a number of visitors from the youth centers in Khan Yunis.
This visit is part of a series of activities to celebrate World Environment Day, organized by the Department of Public Relations, Health and Environment in Khan Yunis Municipality, which aims to learn about the solid waste treatment in the new Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill and how to operate the facility.
The visitors were welcomed by eng. Tamer Abu Al-Zumar, head of the landfill department, who took them on a field tour to learn about Al-Fukhari's sanitary landfill and how to deal with waste in the scientific and health way.
