ICRC visit JSC-KRM Head office to discuss the cash for work for solid wastes management in Deir El Balah

25th September, 2024 -- The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited the JSC-KRM Head Office, in order to discuss the implemented project activities and their impact on raising the level of cleanliness in Deir El Balah city, as the project collects more than 350 tons of waste daily.

A meeting with ِAbasan Al-Kabera municipality to discuss their proposals for the second phase of the pilot project “Pre-paid System for Waste Minimization and Cost Recover”

On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in cooperation with Abasan Al-Kabera Municipality,the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in the governorates of Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area conducted a meeting with the project team in the municipality.

A meeting with the ِAl-Nuseirat municipality to discuss their proposals for the second phase of the pilot project “Pre-paid System for Waste Minimization and Cost Recover”

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, in cooperation with the Nuseirat Municipality, the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in the governorates of Khan Yunis, Rafah and Al Wusta held a meeting with the project team in the Nusseirat Municipality, in order to discuss the submitted proposals and the appropriate implementation plan for the project activities, as Eng. Tariq Al-Habbash the Executive Director of the Council, praised the efforts made by the Nusseirat municipality and stressed the importance of their role and the necessity of their support during the coming period of the project.

The visit of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Council's facilities

On Thursday, June 09, 2022, at the Khan Yunis Waste Transfer Station “Medical Waste Treatment Unit”, the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area governorates welcomed a delegation from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Palestine headed by “Toshiya Abi” representative General of JICA office in Palestine.

Majdi Al-Saleh, Inauguration of Rafah Solid Waste Transfer Station on Wednesday 18 December 2019, And in the presence of each of the governor of Khan Yunis Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaibi, Governor of Gaza, Mr. Ibrahim Abu Al-Naja, Governor of Rafah, Mr. Ahmed Nasr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JSC-KRM Eng. Aladdin Al-Batta, Mayor of Rafah Municipality, Dr. Anwar Al-Shaer, Mayor of Abasan Al-Kabirah Municipality, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Draz, Mayor of Al-Maghazi Municipality, Mr. Mohammed Al-Najjar, General Director of the Municipal Development and Lending Fund, Mr. Tawfiq Al-Badiri, and Supervision team, contractor, and stakeholders who will manage Rafah Solid Waste Transfer Station facility.

TV press report was prepared by the staff of the channel Al-Kufia on the visit of Environmental BlogBus to Al-Fukhari Sanitary Landfill and transfer stations, and Solid Waste Managment Project which implemented by MDLF for the JSC-KRM, funded by the World Bank Group, the European Union and the French Development Agency, In order to improve the solid waste sector in the Gaza Strip through the use of highly efficient methods and improved infrastructure, taking into consideration all environmental and social procedures and standards.
