An article on environmental awareness about the activities of the Solid Waste Management Project in the Gaza Strip was published by the French Consul General in the Palestinian Territories, Mr. Pierre Cochard.
The Joint Service Council for Solid Waste Management in Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area Governorates organized an opening ceremony For Providing Medical Waste Disposal Equipment for The Joint Service Council at the Khan Younis waste transfer station, south of the city.
Dr. Ali Barhoum, Executive Director of the JSC-KRM welcomes a delegation from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), where the delegation visited the medical waste unit of the Council and the new Al-Fukhari landfill.
Seven heavy machinery from abroad arrived at Al-Fukhari sanitary landfill in order to carry out daily disposal operations inside the landfill.
The JSC-KRM, received the delegation of the French Agency for Development (AFD) on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. The delegation visited the Gaza Strip for two consecutive days to view the developments of the solid waste management project in the Gaza Strip, which implemented by the MDLF for the benefit of the JSC-KRM. The visit included several meetings and field visits to both Al-Fukhari landfill and the Rafah Transfer Station in the Tel-Sultan area in Rafah city.
