Visiting municipal and joint council staff to the JSC-KRM facilities

The consortium of Ma'alem and E-Co Conserv companies conducted a field visit to the solid waste management facilities which are belong to the Joint Service Council for Solid Waste Management for Local Authorities in Khan Younis, Rafah and Middle Area Governorates, on the eighth day of the training program for municipal and joint council staff in solid waste management.

Implementation of awareness seminars about "Integrated solid waste management" for students in schools

In coordination with Al-Qarara Municipality, the Community Counseling and Awareness Unit of the JSC-KRM implemented (10) awareness seminars about"Integrated Solid Waste Management" for female students at Muscat primary School for Girls. And (5) educational seminars for students of Eilaboun Secondary School for Girls in order to raise the awareness of students in the field of proper solid waste management.

With funding from Islamic Relief, the Council distributed cleaning tools and equipment to the central and southern municipalities of the Gaza Strip

The Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area Governorates has distributed cleaning tools and equipment to all 17 member municipalities of the Council, in addition to distributing protective tools and clothes to the workers of the Council and municipal workers as part of the emergency response project to support solid waste management services in The Gaza Strip - Phase II, funded by Islamic Relief - Palestine, which aims to support and develop municipal solid waste management services through the Joint Service Councils for Solid Waste Management in the Gaza Strip.

Cleaning and deportation of random gatherings of waste in Al-Zawaida Municipality

Cleaning and deportation of random gatherings of waste in Al-Zawaida Municipality, Wastes accumulated in these informal settlements were deported by vehicles of the Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management in Khan Yunis, Rafah and Middle Area governorates, and then disposed of at Al-Fukhari Landfill.

Implement the activities of the environmental day for 30 children participating in the summer environmental camp

The Community Counseling and Awareness Unit of the JSC-KRM carried out the environmental day activities for (30) children participating in the summer environmental camp at Nuwar Educational Center in collaboration with the Health and Environment Department in Khan Yunis Municipality.

Starting the daily work in Al-Fukhari new sanitary landfill and closing the Deir al-Balah landfill

The Joint Services Council for solid waste management in the governorates of Khan Younis, Rafah and the Middle Area has announced the start of the official work in Al-Fukhari new landfill on Monday, July 15, 2019.
